A woman in Spain developed a serious allergic reaction after a sexual encounter, which may have been triggered by her partner's semen, according a new report of the woman's case.

The 31-year- woman broke out in hives and experienced vomiting and difficulty breathing after engaging in oral sex with her 32-year- male partner, the report said. The woman was diagnosed with anaphylaxis — a severe, whole-body allergic reaction that can be life-threatening.

The woman wasn't taking any medications and hadn't eaten any unusual foods that might have triggered the reaction. But her partner was taking a course of the antibiotic amoxicillin for an ear infection. Amoxicillin is related penicillin, and the woman later told doctors that she had a penicillin allergy.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, must also tell officers in North Yorkshire the name of the woman he plans to have sex with before engaging in any form of sexual activity.

If the man wishes to have sex outside the North Yorkshire Police force area, he must instead contact the relevant local police force.

The man, from York, must also tell police about every device he owns or has access to that can access the internet or make contact with other people, the York Press reports.

The conditions were imposed on the man by way of an interim sexual risk order, requested by North Yorkshire Police.

The man will be bound by the civil order even though he has not been convicted of a sexual offence.

Breaching a sexual risk order can result in a five-year prison sentence.

Police can apply for orders in cases where they feel there is a need to protect the wider public.

From MSNBC:

Kink is getting a techy twist.

The fields of sexual health and sexual pleasure are entwining as the adult novelty business continues to grow. The global sexual wellness market, which includes everything from condoms and lingerie to sex toys, is currently worth around $16 billion and expected to reach $21 billion by 2019, according to research firm Technavio.

Now, manufacturers are looking beyond simple stimulation devices; wearables are gaining traction, though they're a bit different than the wristbands so many people associate with wearable tech.

OhMiBod's Krush, due out this spring at a price of $75, is a device women can insert vaginally to help strengthen their pelvic muscles. And as a "reward" of sorts for completing exercises, the system has vibration patterns that allow it to also be used as a pleasure device.

FTC Sues Paid Dating Site For Luring Users With Fake Profiles

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed its first lawsuit against an online dating site on Wednesday. It accuses a British company, JDI Dating, with using fake messages and computer-generated profiles to trick people into upgrading to paid memberships.

JDI Dating operates 18 dating websites, including cupidswand.com, cupidswand.com,and cupidswand.com, People who created their free profiles would receive messages that appeared to be from members who lived nearby and wanted to meet. According to the FTC’s complaint, these messages were almost always bogus. The only way users could respond to that email was to sign-up for a paid membership of $10 to $30 a month.

“Adding insult to injury, users were charged automatically to renew their subscriptions often without their consent,” said Jessica Rich, director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection

As part of its settlement with the government, JDI Dating has agreed to change its business practices and refund more than $616,000 to customers. The company’s lawyer tells NBC News, JDI Dating has not admitted any wrongdoing, but is pleased to reach a resolution of the allegations.
