Its not important to me how old you are, older women are great! I like to cook, read, listen to music, many other things, I'm mainly a quiet around the house kind of guy. Not into dancing, clubs or that atmosphere in the least. We'll get to know each other by other means.
I've got a bit of what some may casually term "social anxiety". You've probably seen me before somewhere, most likely in the corner of the room being quiet. You may have even enthralled me with your eyes, simply by looking in my cardinal direction, yet if you were looking for me to make the first move towards social interaction, I'm afraid I've let you down, or drunkenly said something entirely inappropriate and so in either case, I do apologize.
I'm not one for small talk, so rarely do I engage in it, and then only to the exceedingly important; I'll humor someone such as a magistrate or congressman, even then it's forced out of me begrudgingly. But If you are a somewhat put-together female, (as I am a somewhat put-together male) I could oblige and talk about such common concepts such as the weather or rock music.
I read a lot of books, yet I have recently abandoned fiction because I do have an imagination. So, mainly history and language textbooks for me please. If you really want, we can discuss Judith Butler and Wendy Brown's positions on hetero-normativity and its place in post-modernist feminist theory, or we could skip that. I'll leave that up to you.
In some strange twist of fate that must please the master of the universe, It just so happens that I'm employed happily in a line of work that offers me the ability to shape the future, yet in return barely pays much of anything. However, I have at some point also pleased the aforementioned master of all creation, for I have been bestowed with the most perfect and inherently pleasing vehicle, the Volvo wagon.
I am by my own volition a gentleman trapped in an age of barbarity. I have cultivated a penchant for wearing ties on nearly all occasions warranted or not (excursions to the beach excepted). I've often heard it said that high heels are the curse of womens fashion, and I infinitely appreciate those aficionadas who venture to wear them. A dress trumps jeans without exception, yet I do realize we both are forced to conform at times to the dictates of our denim driven America moda. If I had my druthers and an expense account at Pronto Uomo, it'd be a three piece for me daily. I revile at the thought at appearing to be important, yet remaining utterly and wholly insignificant at nearly every level conceivable.
I like to think that I can converse in Spanish (castillian), and at times people who can understand that bastion of romance culture, say that I can almost do so. Any speakers of fluency would be most appreciated, as this is a skill (of the few I possess) I should like to refine.
As for leisure activities, I enjoy libations of lager, ale, or spirits, as well as cooking, travel and the ocean. I also am fond of fishing and the docile tones of a plucked guitar or banjo. Athletics hold only a fleeting interest for me, myself being mostly unfit for any such strenuous activity. European football precluded, but the inherent difficulty in obtaining reliable viewing of this most splendid of all team ventures is unfortunately prohibitive at present.
