There are many truths that I have learned in my life. I have to remind myself of them now and then.
One truth is...you are the only one responsible for your OWN happiness. Someone else cannot be totally responsible for your happiness. They can affect it, or have something to do with it, sure. If you depend on someone else for your happiness...you are going to get let down. Maybe they let you down on purpose, or maybe they didn't mean to let you down.
You can't make someone love you or care for you. It is a feeling...a noun if you will..not so much an action verb.
oh..and the biggie..just because you love someone with all of your heart...DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL LOVE YOU BACK. It's just that simple.
Many people will use "love" as a maninuplation tool. It is a cold, hard fact. It is cruel...and there are plenty of folks with cruel intentions...
and this Soul Mate stuff?? A soul mate doesn't have to be the opposite sex, in a romantic type of relationship...you can find a friend who is your soul mate....or "your soul twin" or "soul sister".
I am wondering when someone will actually mean that they do love and care..to show it and mean it..does this exisit???

I wonder if you can ever really connect with someone. Can you truly find someone that gets you intellecually,emotionally and yes sexually? Can that connection only be for a moment spent in time or can it last for a long time? I ponder this as i head into my 36th year with questions of connections, bonds and yes relationships. I am curious.

I haven\'t been here for a while. I have been working hard, taking care of me and my little boy not to mention handling a new relationship that has developed so much quicker than I have ever experienced. We met at the beginning of Jan and he has now moved in with us and living together. I thought i would freak out with the newness of this, take a lot of time to understand one another on a daily basis. However, he is a thread to my daily life now. I think of him first in the morning, throughout the day and before i go to sleep at nite. He makes me feel wanted, special, cared for and yes even loved. I feel blessed to have connected with someone beyond the physical to the emotional, mental and yes spritiual side. I am the special one to have someone who gets all that i am and loves me for all of that and my faults. However few they may be. Grinning. LIfe takes strange twists and turns.
