What does this statement mean in a relationship? I would have thought it was just the sex which is all good and fine but is there anything else? I mean does taking it slow mean only seeing each other every so often? Chat every so often? If so then what is the point?

 Well...I would say it would mean not rushing into anything...like commitment and things like that...Although I am seeing someone and we see each other about 2 or 3 times a week...we chat most days...but it's not a traditional relationship...but we are not committed to anything...

 Taking it slow (to me) means she thinks this relationship could be more than just sex but she doesn't want to rush into any form of commitment for now. Texting/chatting non stop would make her run for the hills. Relax - if the relationship is going anywhere, you don't need to exhaust every conversational topic within a week! You've got time to look forward to.

 Well Kev, i will speak for myself here on this one hun... Im involved with someone who is far away and i have to admit i love hearing his voice at least once a day.. And the texts are very frequent as well.. We dont crowd each other.. And we are not commited but at the minute im enjoying every minute of it (lol) But as always say each to their own pet.. P.s.  Thanks folks for your replies all very interesting as always

I've never met anyone who I've dated and thought woa we should be taking this slow...I would just go with the flow and see what happens. None of these girls have ever said anything about taking it slow with me either apart from one or two but then it was just the sex which I'm more than fine with...each to their own and all that (damn Lover already said that )

I just didn't want to ask her exactly what it meant which is why I posted here and as usual you all came through for me because I can see now what else it might mean!
