I Was Only Thinking I Was Me. A Poem

It's a realization
That I should have
Seen coming.
I mean it is
So effing apparent,
It is glaring.

I was fooling myself
For the past few years
But now I have
Taken off
My rose colored glasses
No more tint
Just seeing things
For what they are
Seeing things clear.

I could tell you
What I am referring to
But I just really
Can't right now.
I am too fragile.
I just can't be
That exposed.

But God knows
And I know
And anyone with eyes
Can clearly see
But I hadn't thought
About the label.
As I was only
Thinking I was me.
