Updated Message Center Filtering

i see two worrying problems emailing from a win8 tablet or mobile. In mobile, i am using the default android browser. On tablet, i am using opera. Both worked till the past 24hrs. The new problem is there is no recognition of the mail being sent after i press the send button. On both the tablet and hp, it simply disappears and doesn't show up in my message box as it usually did before the past 24hrs. I've sent mails to two new men but it doesn't seem to record it in my history of messages. The ONLY thing i like about the new message centre is the fact that u can see all the past correspondence with that particular user within the frame even if he or u start a new dialogue. I have tried using your new filters. And it half works. I will help more if you could restore the unlimited 0/0/0 gold membership. Given that an hour of my time of consultancy in sg is worth usd$80, it isn't about the money... 04j.com is good in small singapore but i could as easily meet men anywhere since i'm the surprising "sweetly proper outside, naughtily delicious inside". HD P.S. i usually use non-mobile desktop version on the cellular phone which still works fine for the chatrooms if u use the normal non beta, non-flash version. P.P.S. wechat (china technology) works fine delivering voice messages, but not 04j.com when i tried delivering a voice message to a guy's inbox using the handphone using the desktop version. I would suggest that the previous message centre could be re-adopted, just in re-threaded format but work on your voice messaging function. That is something the other browser-based competitors aren't currently having. I should know! Particularly since your All Friend Finder app is okay but isn't full-fledged. P.P.S. can i have the unlimited gold membership reinstated because previously your company offered me an lifetime silver membership for something else. I am still alive as u can see... But the silver membership had only lasted a few months!! P.P.P.S. you will find the pic i'm hereby uploading from my hp not showing up, unless you guys corrected it within the past 10mins. Another bug is that when using my mobile default browser, when I click to reply to a message in my message centre & I had previously replied to someone else, it uses the username/nick of the previous message, not the current messagee. This makes it very indiscreet. I don't want the men to know who has been corresponding with me. Similarly, I now wonder if some of the men have also been experiencing this problem since I find that some of their messages to me also have another woman's username in the title message header. In another site, I'm able to see which profiles I've recently viewed, up to 20, if I'm not wrong. So rather than seeing which of the men have viewed my profile, being a little "middle-aged", I don't mind helping my short-term memory of which profiles have caught my fancy. Another thing is,.. 04j.com has littered my hotlist with people i've not actually met. I would appreciate being able to delete in bulk of 100 rather than the default 40, as time is precious too, so that I'll have space for new people that I actually want to meet or have met! I have a question, and I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I am beyond frustrated with the from replies from the support team trying to sell me a membership upgrade and not actually answering my questions. I'm a standard member. I used to be able to reply to messages that were sent to me. Now I can't. When I click "send" it takes me to the upgrade page and doesn't actually send anything. I have dozens and dozens of messages in my inbox from gold members. My ability to reply to those messages is, presumably, part of what they're paying for with their membership fees. So what happened?

I've got the cupid filter on and I'm still getting e-mails from outside my cupid settings... So that needs to be sorted out. But success! I'm getting less from adulife.com... Of course, it's now a cyberattack from limlove.com

The new home page is too damned busy! There's just too much there. I don't care about "international member activity"! I don't care that it's "live" and no, it doesn't add to the "energy" - it just makes this seem more like the fake sites that are just trying to get credit card info. Who really wants add space on the home page? I don't like looking at drawings of penis/penii - what's the point of having a filter for pictures but no filter for the ads? There's no colour, no life. The fonts are too small and bold. The icons on the left column hurt the eyes after a while - try it! See how long it takes before your eyes don't like the very stark contrast of a boring white background and those tiny bold black icons! And again, get rid of the "porn stars hate him" ads... Totally classless, and quite frankly, totally gay. Needs a rethink. How about an option for paying members not to see those worthless and hateful ads? There's nothing wrong with the size of my penis, and I resent paying to see ad after ad after ad suggesting there is!

One other question comes to mind: why is it that I get e-mail notifications (that little star thing in the top toolbar) from real profiles but not notifications from spam? How is it that the star icon knows real mail from spam but somehow the system can't prevent that spam from reaching me?

Okay, I just got the 'newest version', and I STILL don't like it. Although yes, there are now titles for 'cupid matches' and 'friends' and 'hotlist'... no clue why I would use that last one but maybe someone will.... ALL THE MESSAGES STILL COME IN AS THEY DID!! This is NOT a 'folder' system where they are divided and I have just the ones I want to look at, I MUST CLICK ON that heading to get those ones; otherwise, they are all still in one long, ongoing list with no subject lines, nothing to discern what is what, just one jumbled mass EXACTLY LIKE THAT F&B site, which I didn't like that their either!! I loved the old message center, I wanted an EMAIL system not a message system. If I wanted to use the messaging I would use the messaging. Messages and Emails are a normal and vital part of everything. I still do NOT like this new system. People have stated and it is still the same you only get to see 10 messages unless you click 'more' at the bottom, and it is I repeat a jumbled mess of messages all slammed together where you can't see one from the other as they are all stacked like pancakes. SORRY... I STILL DON'T LIKE THIS. I WANT MY OLD MESSAGE SYSTEM BACK OR SOMETHING THAT RESEMBLES IT!! I am sure I will get negatives...that is okay. I know many more that do not like the new system. I would at least like the option to use the old one and have the new people signing up get this thing. I really hate it.

Okay.. I am going to try this again.. and I am making a COPY of this as it has been deleted once already so I have proof of it, as well as a screen capture. . I just got the 'newest version' and I STILL HATE IT!! Everything is still all bunched together, there are no real 'folders'. You have one giant line of things exactly as before. If you want to see the 'friends' or the 'cupid matches' or 'hotlist', although I personally wouldn't use that one someone may, you have to actually CLICK On that again; otherwise, you have one giant pile of messages with only 10 showing and you have to click 'more' to get more. This is not a FOLDER system at all. I will repeat what that other man said that there may be text messaging, IM, f*ceb**k, t**tter, the endless variety of phone apps, the list goes on and on but part of that list WILL ALWAYS BE EMAIL. I don't care what format you are using EMAIL is an essential part of anything and this newest version is not even comparable to it. I do not want a giant pile of messages like a pile of pancakes that you have no subject lines, no folders to put to the side and narrow down the 'inbox' itself and you can go back later and read when you wish, and no trash that you can retrieve something if you wish either. I still would totally prefer the OLD message center and know that nothing I say or others is going to really matter. You wanted input, people are giving it, and it isn't your fault Aryana, but no one seems to care that people just don't want this new system. I again would prefer the option to use the old one and have the new people get this one as they would learn it as it is and not know what they missed. Selfish of me to say, but I said it. I know I will get negatives, but that is okay. I know many more agree with me that they just don't like this new message center at all.

I was beginning to wonder why is some of the posts being deleted especially a hole blog post has gone missing? I thought it was maybe my mind are playing tricks on me. I have to agree here and my self mentioned the emails are being buried. If you really need to update the message center should have followed the same program from the original message center using the same features with some extra added bonus features. It does look like a giant pile of confusion to me that you have to go through and it is a real pain. From my stand point no one likes it.

If members posts are going missing here, it reminds me of loads of posts going missing on site support blog, when tons of people used to complain about all the fake profiles on there. Site support just used to delete the comments. I am sure this is why the site removed the site support blog from the homepage, because they did'nt like all the negative comments and feedback they were getting there about fake profiles. If our posts don't break the terms of use then they should be allowed to stand and should not be removed by anyone. Its called freedom of speech. The site should allow feedback, be it positive or negative comments about the site. Fact is, this facebook style of messaging IS A REALLY BAD DESIGN, and i'm sure many more members would complain about it if this blog post was linked to the homepage with a yellow banner, just like the content filter blog was. And again, I'm still wondering why the "notifications" (that red exclamation point in the tool bar) knows when I have spam in my inbox and won't show that I have any new messages, when the inbox says I have three (all three of them spam). It just doesn't make sense.

I'm thinking that 04j.com should have a game of spam bingo, or lottery, or game. Every time you get an e-mail outside your cupid preferences, you get a point. Every time you get an e-mail from an obviously fake profile, you get a point. Every time you get spam directing you to another site, you get a point. We could set up a score card with the number of e-mails in one column, and the names of the various sites in the other column. Or maybe replace the number of e-mails with the types of e-mails - everyone here has a tiny dick, I won't keep my e-mail here much longer but I've followed your profile for weeks (sender profile created less than 24 hours ago), etc. What do you think? Think we could get a game like that going? I'm not a suspicious guy, but I'm wondering if the Penthouse group is either allowing all these obviously fake sites to post for free, or if they are simply extensions from the parent company. It doesn't make sense how they can all be gold members for a day, have their pics up in less than a few hours, send out a few hundred e-mails, then delete their profile. It doesn't make sense how the spam can be filtered out at the notifications level but not at the message centre level. It doesn't make sense that I can get mail from Germany when I have my Cupid restrictions on. Am I wrong? I like the game idea. I'll work on it, but suggestions are welcome!

(It this appear twice, Please delete the first one I post that not showing the screen shot,Thank YOu.) I got the updated new message center yesterday. Did not have time to play with those new new button until today. But before trying out those new buttons, this was one thing what I noticed when checking to open on the message list on the left. with this new updated, it took longer now for my message center list to show. Before was like 2 or 3 second I would see the list. Now it could around 8 second timing(sometime a bit less and sometime more timing. Look at the screen shot in which I use the add on on firefox call 'Extended Statusbar' to give me those information. [image] Now,After clicking on the Show Menu, and play with the setting to each of those groups under active Conversations and see what happen, I wonder if there a way reset back that I did not do any setting. Well, before I try and play with the Show Menu setting, when I got new message, I click to check message, I would see right away the new message on the top on the list to the left. After just trying those new setting, I don't see most time now the message right after on the message list when I click to check on my new message. Instead, I need to click on the Show menu to find out where is this new message. 2 more step to do and click on the new message and not straight away one click and another to click on the message to read. So, is their a possible way to reset that I not want to use the show menu just want it to be like before without the show menu? Other then that, I don't see any new bugs other then the old one that I experience so far,which was I can't open messages from 2 members properly, because of the missing slider to the right. **About the add bling to message button. I noticed that button on the message center most time to add bling to use on message only work for page 1, other page don't work, I need to type the bling code for those bling on other page instead if I want to use them.** ***SOrry to mention this again as I had posted about this to Andrew blog when he post about he message center something ago. WOuld be glad also if each of those message conversation show the actually date and even time stamp when the message was sent. The Months ago, weeks ago, days ago, Hours ago, minutes ago, that don't really help much when want to have proof of when it was written. Thank you for reading***

Why did you underqualifed village idiots change the message system? There was nothing wrong with the old one. Instead of changing everything why don't you really surprise the members and fix some of the ongoing faults?

Yesterday, I had given feedback about the 'Show Menu'.----> After just trying those new setting, I don't see most time now the message right after on the message list when I click to check on my new message. Instead, I need to click on the Show menu to find out where is this new message. 2 more step to do and click on the new message and not straight away one click and another to click on the message to read. So, is their a possible way to reset that I not want to use the show menu just want it to be like before without the show menu? <---- Well, not sure if something was done to it. But today when I checked on my new email message, the new message pop up right on top without me having to click on more button to find the new message. So, seem that issue was gone and fix. But the loading time for the message list to show today take even longer time. SOmetime more then 10 seconds.

I just got the updated version of the new message centre. It really is far too complicated and as others have said here it just does'nt work right half the time. We really would be better off with a more traditional simple email type system on this site, more along the lines of the old message centre. One thing i am pleased about though is the removal of messages from fakes, spammers and deactivated profiles, so thanks for that.

One more thing - people I've sent voice messages to are telling me they're having trouble opening them, as in they aren't able to at all!

Hiya Aryana!  I'm not here to be angry,..- in fact, I think you're doing a marvellous job commenting & getting back to us - I just hope you won't suffer from burn-out. Just wondering when will I know how many messages do I have in my inbox? Is it being worked upon? Actually if it'll make it easier, I thought the previous messaging system worked fine,.. although if the IT expert could thread it,.. it would be better, but otherwise, it was functional. Because sometimes, now, when using the android default browser to scroll, at times, I could not read the new incoming messages in full, it does not display completely. Nor can I scroll up to read the previous email history in the thread. I kid you not! The previous messaging centre was fine in displaying. Also, I've been sending messages, but they do not appear in my message centre. When do they appear in my message centre? It's quite arbitrary,.. out of 20 different messages that i send,.. only 1 will show up in my message centre. I've no idea why! In their email profile, it says that the message is "Sent" before the "Sent" notification disappears. But when I view the profile again, sometimes it shows that i've a past history with the member, and that I did send him ONE email, but 90% of the time, it doesn't show that i've emailed the lucky bugger  Thanks for reading! Much prefer the old message center. I don't want to see email in a string of emails, including my auto-reply. The option to see "all" only if i desired was much better. Also....I have no idea how to find the emails I have sent... the ones that I initiated contact. Why is there no "sent" mailbox like all other message centers on every other email system has? I don't want to categorize my contacts. As a woman, very many emails are from men I am not interested in; hence the auto-reply.
