I wonder... what is it that women on this site look for in men?

I'm a regular user of the IM tool on 04j.com and love to see who's online and start chatting with them. However I get ignored or declined on the majority of tries.

I understand you need to differentiate from other people, and I try to avoid the usual 'hi' or 'hey' to start a conversation. Still, it doesn't seem to catch on.

Why are people on IM if they don't want to talk?
