A survey says you have to date on average 35 people before finding the right one.

That means thirty five dates when you smile politely and make the best of it. And don't give up hope.

And what about emails? How many emails?

I've saved some of my answers. I really ought to list them into ten categories to save myself time.

Of course there are one liners for people you don't want to see again.

How about a one liner which says - At first glance I think you're too young / old / rich / far away ... and I'd rather reply than keep you waiting a week whilst I ponder - but come back to me if I've misunderstood and you can persuade me to change my mind.

A man wrote to me that he had just got divorced to FUN was high on his agenda, not a LTR.

I replied:

Thanks for replying. I know the feeling. Once long-term friend of mine wants me to marry him by Christmas. I'm not ready for that commitment.

But I am tired of Harry who?

In a month or a year, when you are fed up with people who see you once, you may remember - where's that nice girl?
